wow...2005 already. they weren't kidding when they said time flies.

off to jen's...then Singapore..then Australia!! WOOT WOOT!

any last minute advice before i go?? so far:

- don't hang out with only international students (Mary Jane)
- use airports for help with hostels and, pop is REALLY expensive (random lady at Chapters)
- don't ask for a Foster's, drink Tooheys (many people)

i heard about the tsunami in asia earlier today and at first i barely gave it a second thought...then i saw the news and something in me broke. i can't believe the magnitude of the disaster...even more, i can't believe it hardly affected me at first. over 20000 dead, it's hard to comprehend. the pictures are devastating, the faces i see touch my heart, the dead bodies are horrifying...

if you haven't yet, try and give a couple moments' thought for the people who have lost their homes, family, friends, and lives...sometimes it's really easy to forget that news on the t.v. is real

5 minutes until christmas...guess now is as good as time as ever to get this blog thing started!! christmas resolution (i heard on the news the other day that something like 99 percent of resolutions are broken...instead you should make goals...and if knew the difference between goals and resolutions I would be all over it)...:
1) keep this blog updated.

well...so far so good...
right NOW i'm sitting....watching my dad watch t.v....okay...too updated for you?? TOO BAD. kidding...this will be so much more exciting when i get to australia...instead it will mention something about me sitting watching my dad watching t.v...in 40 degree weather listening to the waves on the beach...jealous? that's okay...you can live vicariously through me...i don't mind :P

anyways..like i said...try and keep updated...feel free to let me in on your lives...i think there's a guestbook thingy where people can leave messages and we can all share our lives...it'll be fun...all warm and fuzzy like. There will be lots of pictures once I get my laptop hooked up to the internet...OOH! it's 12:00--->CHRISTMAS!
